After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Northern Illinois University, Louis began training at John E. Reid and Associates, Inc. in 1972. In 1973 he became a state licensed polygraph examiner in Illinois and two years later received his Master of Science degree in Detection of Deception from Reid College. After eight years as a staff polygraph examiner, he was promoted to Chief Polygraph Examiner and vice president of the firm. He was responsible for overseeing 7,000 to 8,000 interviews and interrogations for each of the next eight years. Louis has personally conducted in excess of 8,000 interviews and interrogations and has testified in federal and state courts as well as employment hearings. He later became involved in the seminar division and has conducted hundreds of training seminars on The Reid Technique, as well as specialized training programs throughout the U.S. as well as in Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, Mexico, the Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and South Korea, Brazil and Kuwait. He has authored the book. Anatomy of Interrogation Themes, (2005). Lou's sense of humor as well as his practical way of instruction has made him one of our most sought-after speakers.
